WE ARE AUTONOMATIC
We are design practitioners with skills and experience in designing in ceramics, metals, glass, plaster, plastics, amongst other media. As creative researchers we have a basic urge to invent new ways of making things, to ask “what if?”, “so what?” and “what next?”. Through our open and exploratory approach to using digital technologies we hope to inspire others to approach these technologies with a creative mindset.
BlackBox
BlackBox is a transdisciplinary research group investigating how the photographic still and moving image can impact on wider areas of knowledge. Starting with the premise that the camera acts as a conduit or catalyst, linking differing disciplines, for example: sculpture, writing, performance, sound, health etc.. We are historians, theorists and practitioners of art and design. We are interested in the history, circulation and interpretation of material and visual culture. This includes practice-based research that interacts/reworks existing material and visual culture in contemporary contexts. This may include, but is not limited to, collaborative working with museums, galleries, archives and collections. About
The Centre for Pedagogic Arts-based Research, PedARe, is a focus for pedagogic studies at Falmouth University generating leading research in e-learning, pure pedagogic research, performance based pedagogy and visual thinking. It is based within Learning Futures which is responsible for the enhancement of learning and teaching strategy and practice at Falmouth. PedARe works across disciplines and subject areas, is inclusive and collaborative.
Performance Writing Research Group
Performance Writing Research Group comprises a number of cross-disciplinary researcher/practitioners and students, within Falmouth University and beyond, investigating multi-modal forms of writing in contemporary social and artistic contexts.
