WE ARE AUTONOMATIC
We are design practitioners with skills and experience in designing in ceramics, metals, glass, plaster, plastics, amongst other media. As creative researchers we have a basic urge to invent new ways of making things, to ask “what if?”, “so what?” and “what next?”. Through our open and exploratory approach to using digital technologies we hope to inspire others to approach these technologies with a creative mindset.
Material & Visual Culture
We are historians, theorists and practitioners of art and design. We are interested in the history, circulation and interpretation of material and visual culture. This includes practice-based research that interacts/reworks existing material and visual culture in contemporary contexts. This may include, but is not limited to, collaborative working with museums, galleries, archives and collections. Performance Writing Research Group
Performance Writing Research Group comprises a number of cross-disciplinary researcher/practitioners and students, within UCF and beyond, investigating multi-modal forms of writing in contemporary social and artistic contexts.
We are engaged in four main areas of enquiry: Electronic literature/digital text, Prosody - Language and Sound, The Situatedness of Writing and The Littoral - writing coasts.

The RANE research group, based at University College Falmouth, has been established to examine the relationship between the visual arts and ecological thinking.
